Updates

Its been two months since I have made the move to DC to start my grad program at American University. Its been an adjustment to say the least but one that has been both incredibly challenging and rewarding. I wanted to update the people I don't get to talk to as often as I would like and thought that a blog would be the perfect way to connect with family and friends in Michigan and beyond.

So for those out of the loop, here is a quick rundown of the past two months.

I am a full time grad student studying public administration at AU. Classes are really interesting and can be challenging at times. I enrolled in three classes: Public Manager in the Policy Process, Legal Basis of Public Administration, and Team Development and Facilitation. So far so good.

I am working full time at McAllister & Quinn, a small lobbying firm downtown. I am usually making phone calls, aka dialing for dollars, but I have also been able to visit the Hill, attend some conferences, and get a feel for how DC works.

Thats all for now I suppose, but check back for updates.
